Not all marketing is for the purpose of selling something to your potential clients. In this industry, you are marketing yourself. You are not just selling your services. You need to “sell” yourself. Making people realize that you are worth their time and money.

Selling yourself is a lot different from advertising for a product. You do not have a product to show people. You are a person. One of the biggest things people want in a service they are receiving from a person is for that person to be personable.

  • Send Christmas cards to current clients, all referrals and even your potential clients. This is such an easy and personal way to show people who you are and that you care about them. This is something where you would not mention anything about the prices of your services or try to sell it to them at all. The sole purpose is to show appreciation for these people during the holiday season.
  • Send gifts to current clients, all referrals and even your potential clients. It doesn’t have to be anything substantial. Maybe a gift card to their favorite restaurant or a plate of a healthy Christmas snack.
  • You can offer up a percent of your holiday sales to your favorite charity organization. This will hopefully get more people wanting to partner with you since you are giving some of your earnings away to a good cause.

These are not meant to be instantaneous ways of earning more money. But, in the long run, clients will remember you and how personable you are. This is a great way to get ahead of your competition in the long run. It is the perfect way to market yourself and gain more trust from your clients this holiday season. They will see you care about them, not just your paycheck.
